My father, a motorcycle enthusiast, freelance photographer, and director at the Juniper Networks branch here in Ottawa, is currently undergoing heart surgery, I ask everybody to think of him, and wish for him to have a speedy recovery from his operation.

This is an entirely scheduled surgery, for a heart condition he's had his whole life. He's someone who loves what he does, and was a driving force in my technical and mechanical career.

His surgery is to fix a leaky valve in his heart. He's had this condition his whole life.

Best wishes. Here's to a full recovery. I had a valve issue when I was a baby and was able to make a recovery, so I hope the same to your father. :D

likely it'll be, work as tolerated. 2-3 weeks of home rest. Depending on which valve is replaced, will determine whether he needs blood thinners or not.
